DiskMagik is a defragmentation tool for Windows computers. The application brings three default settings: Quick defrag, Complete defrag and Advanced defrag. All of those vary only in the extent at which the application changes your filesystem. A quick defragmentation will target crucial system files and defragment areas of the hard drive that are essential for your operative system. The rest are more thorough processes. Graphically, DiskMagik shows a graphical representation of your hard drive's state. If you perform an analysis of your disk, you will get a report on how badly fragmented your files really are. There is an option called "Monitor" which automatically detects the fragmentation of files as you use them, writing all the information collected on a log file. You can carry out manual defragmentations at any time, but there is a command-line scheduler that can tackle the task automatically. There are also little utilities within the application that allows you to check your hard drives specifications. Although not the best for benchmarking, those little tools prove useful for obtaining data about the discs.
